“‘We won’t ever move house again’ How an 18-month nightmare put one family off for LIFE”

Ed Mangus from the Daily Mail has included OPDA’s consumer research in his article on how stressful the home buying process can be 🙌🏾

Sharing one family’s 18-month nightmare which included sales falling through, delays, frustration, and wasted money it drew a clear picture of just how broken the customer experience can be.

OPDA consumer research found that the process takes 41% longer than most people expect and that 62% of people were asked to provide the same information or documents multiple times.

It’s always awful to hear when a buyer or seller has had such a horrendous experience, particularly when this data can and should be available at the outset of every transaction.

OPDA look forward to the day when fully digital and digitised property data, from officially verified sources, is accessible and shareable by families like this example and for everyone who needs it – starting with the consumer
