Society Matters: Winter 2024 Transforming the Homebuying Process

The latest edition of the Building Societies Association magazine includes an update from our chair on what’s happening to reform the UK homebuying process.

What does 2025 have in store for the mortgage and housing markets? While the changes to planning rules, outlined in the government’s National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), display a real determination to change the often slow-moving and complex process, only time will tell if the goal of building 350,000+ homes a year can be achieved.
