OPDA research referenced by The Times again

We’re delighted to see David Byers at The Times once again backing our call for the homebuying and selling process to be digitised, referencing our consumer survey report, and featuring one of our OPDA member firms, Coadjute.

Less than 1% of property data is currently available in a truly digital, FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) format but 75% of our survey respondents believed it to be more than 10%. There’s an undeniable gulf between customer expectations and the reality of their homebuying experience today.

David’s article goes on to highlight many of the problems facing the property industry including the time it takes to complete searches, complexities of the conveyancing process, and the ability for buyers and sellers to collapse a transaction or a whole chain without consequence.
