Kotini: Why OPDA Membership Matters to Us

Buying or selling a home should feel simple, transparent, and seamless. For too long, estate agents and their clients have had to wrestle with fragmented systems, duplicated data, and manual admin at the very start of the property journey. Kotini exists to change that.

Who we are and what we do

Founded in 2022, Kotini is a proptech company built to help estate agents deliver a faster, simpler, and more professional onboarding experience. Our platform brings together ID and AML checks, material information collection, client payments, compliance and more into a single, branded digital flow. Agents save time, reduce risk, and create a client experience that sets them apart (and frankly, clients are long overdue).

The value we provide to the property market

Kotini reduces friction at the very start of a transaction. For agents, that means less admin and faster progress to market. For clients, it means a smoother, more transparent experience. And for the wider property market, it means better data, earlier certainty, and proactive action being taken before or at the point of listing to minimise avoidable delays. By aligning the interests of agents, consumers, and industry, we help create healthier, more efficient property transactions for thousands of people every month.

Why OPDA membership matters to us

We see open, trusted data standards as the foundation of a modern property market. Just as Open Banking transformed financial services, Open Property Data can transform property transactions by giving the industry a shared, high standard to work to. The property market is too central to people’s life goals and too vital to the UK economy to operate without it.

Through OPDA, we’re able to help drive this shift, contributing via the R&D workstream and the development of practical, industry-wide standards.

Our vision

We imagine a digital property market where data flows securely and instantly between all parties, underpinned by a trust framework that prevents bad actors from accessing information they shouldn’t. Transactions are faster, costs are lower, and the experience is smoother for consumers and professionals alike. Freed from chasing the same documents and duplicating data, the professionals across the industry are concentrating on what they do best, providing expertise and guidance in areas like mortgage advice, estate agency, and conveyancing.

Kotini’s mission is to help agents and their clients realise that future today.
